5 Years! 5 whopping years of memories recorded. When I started this blog the intention was to post cute little pictures of my little boy without inundating everyone with pictures via email. Fairly certain that method of picture delivery is outdated. Just like developing pictures seems outdated. Shame. It's a darn shame.
Anyway, I have done much in these five years.
- Doted about new baby Henry.
- Documented his first feeding. Video! Whoop whoop!
- Learned my Dad had colon cancer.
- Started up Owl People.
- Watched Henry walk for the first time. Another video!
- Climbed my first 14'er.
- My non-post about finding out about being pregnant with Julia. Lame!
- Getting my panties in a wad about being able to sell or not sell handmade. Whatever happened here? Gah, the drama.
- A cool Wahssuuuup from Henry.
- Ahhh...there is Julia. Good, now I don't feel so shitty.
- Giving my Dad Neil Young tickets...
- There's my girl! She is born!
- Did you know Julia has Biotinidase Deficiency? Yep.
- Hosted the first "Get the Craft Out of Yo House"
- Watched as my Husband did his first 1/2 Marathon. Man, he looked like such a hottie that day.
- Going to the Husker game with my bro and parents. That was a fun fun day. A memory that I will never forget. Apparently my Dad won't either. Read his comment on the post. I miss him and his words so much.
- Seeing my kids with their Papa's and their Papa's loving them.
- My first quilt. Love it still!
- My second quilt. Meh. It's okay. Pretty Modern.
- Being with my Dad as he gracefully and peacefully left us on July 25th of last year. Words cannot describe how much I miss him and yearn to see him in my dreams.
- Running my first 5K
- My Julia leaving the baby stage. Awwww, so sad.
- The loss of another Papa. I miss his talks and getting mail from him on birthdays. He was so special to me.
- My first sewn Halloween Costume for the kids. Behold...Rainbow Brite!
- Trading in my 4-Runner for a Mini-Van. Seriously Kaitlyn.
- My first 1/2 Marathon, Erin's 2nd Full Marathon, Henry's first mile race.
Please, you don't need to send any cards of congratulations for this momentus event. I was going to do a giveaway or something but decided that I don't need to be showering others when this is my glory day. Pshawww. Though I do appreciate your readership.
Cue the fireworks! This post is done! Congrats Kaitlyn!!!!!!
2 tidbits of your thoughts:
A job well Done Kaitlyn. So much like your Grandma Dorothy, she would be proud of you.
Thanks for backing things up, you took the though right out of my head.
Love you girl, and keep of the book of memories. You will never be sorry.
Kaitlyn I had to go back and read your Husker game post, just to see your dad's smiling face. Brought tears to my eyes. You Wirths are good people!
